ISO STANDARDS TRAININGS OF OUR TWIN TRANSFORMATION PROJECT HAVE STARTED

The aim of the 3rd Work Package of our project is to inform tradesmen-craftsmen and SMEs about the standards for measuring the water footprint (ISO 14046), carbon footprint (ISO 14067), and greenhouse gas emissions (ISO 14061-1) generated in their production/service processes. For this purpose, a training of trainers was delivered in June 2025 (Ankara-Türkiye) to a group consisting of trainers from the project partner organizations. These trainers are responsible for delivering training on the three standards to sector employees in their respective countries. By the end of 2025 and in the first months of 2026, these trainings began to be delivered in all four partner countries.

The first training in Türkiye was delivered in cooperation with our project partner, the Turkish Confederation of Shoe Makers, on 17–18 December 2025 in Ankara to representatives of tradesmen-craftsmen enterprises engaged in shoe manufacturing.

The second training was delivered, again in cooperation with our project partner Siteler Vocational Education Center, on 19 and 26 February 2026 to journeymen and master craftsmen working in enterprises operating in the furniture sector.

During the trainings, our project is briefly introduced, starting with the problems brought about by the climate crisis and its effects on businesses, followed by an explanation of the content of the relevant standards. It is believed that these trainings will be beneficial in increasing awareness concerning green and digital transition within enterprises.
